Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite - Latest Generation

The wait for Kindle 3 is finally over. Amazon has redesigned Kindle yet again, making it more compact and capable than before. The next generation Kindle which bears many similarities to Kindle DX 2nd gen will come in two colors (white and graphite) and can go for up to a month per charge. It also comes in 2 flavors (WiFi and 3G).

Here is a summary of the advantages Kindle 3 holds over Kindle 2:

  • High-Contrast E-Ink Screen
  • Holds 3,500 Books
  • Battery Life of Up to One Month
  • Built-In Wi-Fi
  • Quieter Page Turn Buttons
  • Social Features
  • Improved PDF Reader
  • Book Archives

The new Kindle also has a more aggressive pricing strategy behind it. Kindle 3 WiFi is going for $139 and Kindle 3 3G is priced $189. Considering that these new Kindles have more storage, better battery life, an improved screen, and better fonts, these prices are extremely tempting.
